Dear WEB.COM.NA member,
as you might have noticed our service cannot be reached since April 2nd. Our Internet domain name (web.com.na) has been suspended by the Namibian Network Information Centre (the authority in charge of all Namibian domain names) on short notice. As a result all our services are inaccessible from the Internet, including our popular free e-mail service.
The issue is that since this year we are supposed to pay roughly N$ 50000 for all domain names that belong to our service, whereas in the past only N$ 3000 were required. As web.com.na offers all services for free on a non-for-profit basis, you can imagine that N$ 50000 is not an amount we can bear.
I want to assure you that my partner in Namibia as well as I are working to solve this issue as fast as possible with the Namibian Network Information Centre. We hope that we can reach a solution soon.
We will notify you again via e-mail, once we have news for you to keep you updated about our service and your account. Please also forward this message to your friends or colleagues who are also web.com.na members for them to also be informed, in case they did not get this mailing.

Dear WEB.COM.NA member,
we are very happy to announce that as of today WEB.COM.NA is ONLINE AGAIN!!
Please forward this message to all your friends and colleagues to inform them that we are back!
We were finally able to find a solution with the Namibian Network Information Centre concerning the operation of our Internet domain name (web.com.na).
We could arrange a price range for the renewal of our domain name which is still approximately 10 times higher compared to the past, we had to change the domain name registrar in the process and we lost some other domain names which were so far linked to our service, but we are BACK AGAIN. And we believe this is the most important thing that counts!
We thank all our members, who stayed with us during the last weeks and we apologize for any inconveniences caused - you will be rewarded as we are currently working on some very exciting new features and services: and you will be amongst the first to see them online!
