Is this going too far, it was reported in Informante of Thursday, 28 August 2008 that the Honorable Minister traveled to his village just to find that one of his adopted boy has joineed the opotition party, the minister( who confermed the allegation) apparently start shooting at the boy who refused to reliquish his membership with the RDP.
I am just wondering what massage this might sent to those with relatives in different political parties and the consiquences. my opinion is that those are constitutional fredoms and the minister has no right to act that way, he should there for be brought to justice and be prosecuted for violating the constitution, this is bad and should not be encouraged in any way.
What is your take on this.

I think he went 2o far en he must be dealt wit accordingly,bt I doubt it in our motherland coz the so called high ranked oficials are untouchables! Even th other SWAPO official who killed th damara watsoever was nt punished in a proper way.I wonder wat is next............

Comrade Nghimtina found himself in a very difficult situation, He felt betrayed. It is the boy's right to support a party of his choice, but he has to be considerate of the position his guardian holds in the SWAPO party. I hope they will forgive each other and continue with their normal lives.
Politics becomes dirty, when parties are not formed based on concrete ideologies and policies but rather on hatred and personnal vendattas.

The order was " dont give them water, I think Nghimtina is just implementing the order, iyaa, eemofi she( no more sleeping) soon they will ask their kids to wear a SWAPO scarf or an uderwaer in the Manitjie coluors at all time, removing it will result in the suspention of your poket money, park the BMW and no more water..lol suprised he

Elaiti, thats why akutiwa, weunyemenamo utoolamo, my undestanding is that this party was formed becouse One person did not like the idea of another becoming a president, as we all know the altimate for annt visionry politician is to become a president, I dont know what else the gentle man was supose to do apart from forming a party, now Shaweda ombwena mbwena osheya shitonga Ondilimani.
I agree with you that the boy(an ophan for that matter) was suposed to think about his uncle's position, shaashi itokombo mepya meumbo mwakaka, but hey I dont know man, all I know is that the way it is going is not right.

The question is whether the people wants the gentleman in question to become a president. So we will see kutya olye naanaa te ke u toola mo. If Eenhana was not loud enough, lets wait for Omuthiya and then Tobias Hainyeko. By 2009 it will just be ash.
We know the media is not our partner in this but we have gone through this before. Untill proper political parties with concrete people oriented ideologies like SWAPO comes into being. SWAPO will always emerge victorious. People won't vote for tribal divisions and self enrichments.
And this time the victory will be sweeter than ever before. For now you can enjoy the media articles. But please don't later cry foul like HH did after Eenhana.

I think the Minister just over reacted. Of course its everyone constitutional right to freedom of association and political party of their choice, but choices are decisions that made when a person considered a number of facts and how they will influence such a choice and the Minister simply feel betrayed by the boy who he invested some of his efforts to raise him but decide to cease his (the minister’s) bread.
According to the boy’s decision, the Minister see it in this light that “it stand to reason that he is a bad leader” as the boy is abandoning the party he is leading.

What he has done is bad and intorelable! All the people have the rights to join whichever political parties they want to. But starting shooting even without a relavant proof is 100 % wrong! He has taken his actions and he must live with that! We dont want injustice! These top guys are just doing bad things and they are being left unpunished! He deserves to be sentenced!
Violation of constitutional rights is wrong and whether you are at the top or bottom, dont wait to be directed where the entrances to jails are..................

I have a few problems with this incident, other than the obvious:
1) Is that the calibre of leadership swapo uses to achieve their goals? If so, the lack of success does not surprise me.
2) The minister said he "used swapo money" to raise the child. Will someone please tell the idiot that he used NAMIBIAN money - he is paid by the government, NOT swapo. There is a difference,you know.....
3) He said "it is the democratic right" of the youth to press charges. WRONG. He committed a CAPITAL offence, hence he should be charged and prosecuted REGARDLESS of the relative pressing charges or not. ATTEMPTED MURDER is a serious offence. At the least, he should be declared unfit to posess firearms. But then, swapo largely consists of criminals, so the lack of police / official action not surprise me.
That is what you get in an "uncontrolled" democracy where any idiot is allowed to vote for any other idiot.
At least you are now fighting among yourselves...

U see I always like to be rational in my arguments, my issue was not about who is wining( obviously my self can will if eunn on SWAPO ticket) but that does not make me the best leader, the issue is on conducts/behaviours of politicians in this country, what examples are we setting? what if every body start shooting at every body else? who is not suporting who ever?, those are not just questions but seriouse issues that need to be adressed promptly gentle man.
Some of this people are playing with fire and some of us will be the onse called in to put the fire done, and some of us knows what the fire can do, it burns and when it start to burn it does not discriminate.
I am not arguing for RDP or for SWAPO, I am arguing for peace and for what is right. Regardless of what some people what to say, SWAPO created RDP( nauyoma to be specific)and that is unfortunatly the fact believe it or not.
