Hi,
I frequently get asked if I know some good websites with tutorials on how to get started with homepage building.
Well I do and I thought it would be a good idea to share them with you.
To get into the whole world of homepage building, you need to know some HTML, which is in fact the language all homepages are made of.
A good starting point is: http://w3schools.com
If homepage building is completely new to you, then you should start with the Web Building Primer.
The Web Building Primer explains in easy to understand chapters:
- WWW - The World Wide Web
- HTML - The Language of the Web
- CSS - Cascading Style Sheets
You should at least read these 3 chapters. The remaining chapters of the Web Building Primer are in my opinion not really needed for the beginner.
For people who are a bit more advanced already the HTML Section and the CSS Section might be worth a look.
