I see most of my girlfriends(well maybe guys too) emotionally suffer because of this "on and off" relationships.... Is there hope that oneday they will work their differences out and live happily ever after? Why do people get back together after such horrible heartaches? Why do they get married to get divorced anyways yet they use the word "I Love You?" Someone please make me understand here... What r this three words ["I love U"] supposed to mean exactly?

Well, one thing I know is that the three words might have been meaning full some times back, but as of today, it is still an important tool for a man who want to get in your pants.

As for on and off relationships, most of this relationships are just as exiting as they could be hurtful, you get attached to each others, and by some force you are attracted back together every time you thing it is over. It is such a dangerous situation that some people find themselves going back together even after one of them is married.

The other thing I seems to believe about LOVE is something illusion, thus unswers on this subject could be hard to come by.

I am always under corrections and i like giving my views where they are needed. I have realized it too that those three words are being misused nowadays. It is not enough to tell someone that you love her or him on a regular basis if there is no passion and fire behind the statement " I love you". To me sometimes they say it, because they think it means," you matter to me", " I care about you", "I think you are pretty cool" and that it is not enough, there is so much more to it then that.

I believe when one is saying "i love you", then that means more then just " i like you", or "I want you" or I admire you". We young people need to learn just to use the right words at the right time. Instead of saying "i love you", then just say "i care about you" or " I love being in your company". Imagine someone told you " I love you and you are the only one" in March and in April, he/she will tell you, " i think we are not perfect for one another", wont you go like "but i was the only one"? The world is changing and believe me , i dont think there is true love!

In addition, I LOVE YOU, means the first feelings that you feel before all the bad stuff gets in the way.

I was reading one of the romantic novel and these are some of the quotes that i can give you just to sum up what i think "i love you" is:

1. Love is when someone hurts you. And you get so mad but you dont yell at him because you know it would hurt his feelings.
2. Love is what makes you smile when you are tired.
3. If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate.
4. When you tell someone something bad about yourself and you are scared she wont love you anymore but then you get suprised because not only does she still love you, she loves you more.
5. Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day.
6. You really shoudnt say 'i love you" unless you mean it but if you mean it, you should say it a lot because people forget.
7. You have to fall in love before you get married, then after that you will just sit around and read books together.

I love reading quote number 1,4,6 and 7. I think if you can say i love you and you do what is being quoted then, you know what I love statement means after all!

I hope you will find this in order!

i dont know why people just dont go to the book of wisdom if they have questions like this.
if you think you are inlove then the following should appeal to you as written in the bible, if not, then know that it is nothing but lust flowing through your veins.it too can make you think you are inlove.

1 Corinthians 13

13:4 Love is never tired of waiting; love is kind; love has no envy; love has no high opinion of itself, love has no pride;
13:5 Love's ways are ever fair, it takes no thought for itself; it is not quickly made angry, it takes no account of evil;
13:6 It takes no pleasure in wrongdoing, but has joy in what is true;
13:7 Love has the power of undergoing all things, having faith in all things, hoping all things.
13:8 Though the prophet's word may come to an end, tongues come to nothing, and knowledge have no more value, love has no end.

Love is not a feeling but a principle.A principle that if followed can keep you together,teach you 2 tolerate each other and respect each other.Some are just infatuated by someone's looks or build they soon discover there was no love at all.U should never fall in love BUT grow in love.As 4 on & of relationships well You need some soul searching. whats breakin the relationship in the first place?Its something that nids mo tym and that I dont have right now.
