Now i'd like you all intelligent beings out there to help me out on this ONE , what is the distinction between DESTINY and CHOICE?
really struggling to draw the line between the 2.

i hear you sasamba but i must say that i dont read- ur definition aint clear. Let me spell it out better;
1. if i had to choose between X, Y and Z (for example) and i chose Y. would you say it was my destiny to be with Y or that it was merely my CHOICe?
2. If i choose to study medicine and become a doctor, would you say it was my destiny to become a doctor or that it was by choice that i became a doctor?
3. Simply then, what relationship does destiny and choice share?
foks, am anxious for your opinion on the matter......

destiny is what you were desytined to be it is normally associated with your interests,i.e something that suited u.

The relationship is that Destiny is always determined by a choice, i belive that everybody has a destiny, fate, but than that its always up to you to choose the path that you take making it your destiny or journey in life destiny (destination).
wich ever path or choice you take that is your destiny cos you will never now what the other choice had insotre for you.
that's why the wise hesitate in using the word WHAT IF.
live your life for the present and make sure in to doing the most ethical things in life take each day at a time and always remmebr where you came from,cos your past is your future.

Let´s say your parents have been doctors, like your grandparents have been before them. During your childhood your father has always been telling you, that you were supposed to take over the "family business" then it would be obvious that you were not given any other choice but studying medicine and do the same like your parents and their´s have been doing. However, you could have still disagreed with this idea and studied something else. Maybe in every event in life part of it can be considered destiny or choice always depending on the perspective. In most cases it can be said more easily which of both plays the more important role in the reason of an event. People might also ask if human decisions or life in general are destiny but with such considerations definitions can hardly be made.

Tesla............normally associated with my interest? hm, that got me thinking. thank you tesla- thats insight. So relatively then one may say: my interests determine the choices i make and that eventually determines my destiny. So then if i have a passion and burn for modelling per se, and i make choices according to my passion- should i become a super model (for example) thats my destiny. but if i were to choose to ignore my passion and end up in an office 8 to 5 job, at the end of my life i would have failed in living my destiny. thanx tesla.

shamizie- thank you . you have enlightened my understanding on the relationship that destiny and choice share. but i must disagree to agree with you saying that the wise hesitate in using he word WHAT IF- for it is the WHAT IF that has given the wise their wisdom... thank you for the lovely advice at the end- inspiring.

Destiny- is an imaginary state you'd wanna be in one day
And Choice- is how u get there!
An example..... take being a top-selling rapper as a dream u'd like in other words a perfect destiny....(so now u know want wat u want in life), but the big quiz remains on how u get there....taking in account wat you have to sacrifice to one day realise yo dream..... maybe perfect yo flow or watteva....and thats the choice
