u are not allowed to enter military bases and u will never know how soldiers are working and thus why u think soldiers do nothing. the police and civilian are living confortably cs of what?

If u want to get paid, STUDY. soldiers are useless, thy cnt even manage grade12, whts tht? Money dnt kan easly, work hard 4 it. All they do is salute and fck... finito.

I think you guys dont know what it means to be a soldier.... military in every country has the most educated people than civilians, in military they have the most advanced technology equipments and who's running them? civilians? they have their own medical doctors working in their own military hospitals, and who's running them civilians? never..they do their things on their own.. they have ships and jet fighters and all these materials need someone to run them and maintain them on daily basis... is it done by civilians? no way.. u have to explain more when u have to say soldiers are useless, soldiers have qualifications with many having master degrees, so the soldier that u met is the one useless maybe and stop including everyone. Qualified Soldier.

Those are government helicopters. Ndf will do anything on government request. I agree wit those niggas that say that soldiers do nothing. Ok you get educated soldiers, those guys are the high rankings, they sit in well furnished offices and earn big salaries. But most of the ndf is made up off grade 10s and 12s dropouts. And some war veterans who dont know the difference between light and right. As long as there's no war their salaries will remain Pohamba's lunch money. You dig?

If the question is "why civilians hate soldiers", I would say the question is too general.
Soldiers are sons/daughters, brothers/sisters, parents, husbands/wives of civilians. That civilians hate soldiers is therefore a myth.
As regards soldiers' wages, I think we blur the lines when we abandon reasonableness and resort to emotional appeals.
Any working Namibian deserves a descent income. I can not understand how one can try to bind this rule when it comes to soldiers. The argument that some soldiers are not well educated, therefore don't deserve better, is an insult ... unless one can tell me that the stomach of an educated person is bigger than the stomach of the illiterate (yes, it eventually becomes bigger, necessitating even more money to maintain).
And you know what? Most educated people will never be willing to shed their blood, or pay the ultimate sacrifice, in defense of this country. Yet they want all the money.
That is unfair!

Since I am one of the civilians who belittle soldiers of this country, I would like to give a brief side of my perceptive We don't what you guys are doing inside your bases because you forbid us to come closer to you. Everything of yours is censored ant it is out of public bound. You are living in isolation. What we use to see are drunk soldiers who use to snatch other men's women and threaten us with their guns.
We were made to understand that you are only good at drinking and you cannot do anything else other that, and hence you don't deserve better pay. May be your top brass should make a strategy to market you guys to earn our respect. Me myself, I hate soldiers because I suffered a lot from the hands of notorious SWATF and KOEVOET soldiers. I find it difficult to differentiate between NDF and SWATF as since independence, your Ministry did not do anything to sensitize us about the new Defence Force.
I respect the Police because I use to see what they are doing: preventing crime, patrolling our streets, arresting criminals, and they use to involve us in their activities. At least we can see the need for them to be paid better. They are always in our villages doing something called Policing Community and now we are used to them. Unlike soldiers who are strangers to us.
